1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SweetZero ("the App" or "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

SweetZero is a mobile application designed to help users track and maintain a sugar-free lifestyle. The Service includes:

  • Streak tracking for sugar-free days
  • Community challenges and participation
  • Daily tips and educational content
  • Milestone tracking and badge achievements
  • Community features for connecting with other users

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your account information as needed
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

3.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SweetZero. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others
  • Transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you post, upload, or share through the Service ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your User Content for the purpose of operating and providing the Service.

5.2 Content Standards

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the right to use and license your User Content
  • Your User Content does not violate any third-party rights
  • Your User Content is not harmful, offensive, or illegal
  • Your User Content does not contain personal information of others without consent

5.3 Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, modify, or remove any User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by SweetZero and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.

7. Subscriptions and Premium

SweetZero offers an optional paid subscription ("SweetZero Premium" or "Premium") that unlocks additional features within the App. Premium is available as an auto-renewable subscription billed through your Apple ID (on iOS) or Google Play account (on Android), as applicable.

7.1 Premium Features

Premium may include features such as Streak Freeze, advanced insights and AI reports, unlimited active challenges, AI food scanner, premium home-screen widgets, smart notifications, AI daily plans, and recipe suggestions. Available Premium features may change over time. The free version of the App remains available without a subscription.

7.2 Subscription Plans

Premium is offered on a recurring basis, typically as monthly and annual plans. The exact plan names, prices, and any free-trial or introductory offers are shown in the App at the time of purchase and may vary by region or platform. Payment is processed by Apple or Google, not directly by SweetZero.

7.3 Auto-Renewal

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, your subscription automatically renews and your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current subscription price. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time after purchase.

  • iOS: Open Settings on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions, or visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. You can also manage your subscription from Premium settings inside the App.
  • Android: Open Google Play, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

If a free trial or introductory offer is available, any unused portion of that offer is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable under the platform provider's rules.

7.4 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel auto-renewal at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have Premium access until that period ends. Deleting the App or your SweetZero account does not cancel your subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies. SweetZero cannot issue refunds for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play. To request a refund, contact Apple or Google support directly.

7.5 Changes to Subscriptions

We may change Premium features, pricing, or subscription offerings from time to time. Where required by law or platform policy, we will provide notice of material changes. Continued use of Premium after a price change takes effect constitutes your agreement to the new price, unless you cancel before renewal.

8. Health Information Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: SweetZero is a tracking and community support tool, not a medical or health advice service. The information provided in the App, including tips and educational content, is for informational purposes only and is not intended as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or dietary changes. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read in the App.

9. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. The Service may be unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Technical issues or failures
  • Force majeure events
  • Updates or modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SWEETZERO AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or data
  • Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the Service
  • Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SweetZero and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Your User Content

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in the App. Upon termination, we will delete or anonymize your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SweetZero operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules, except where prohibited by law.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
